Welcome to the development blog for the game Baby The Knife.

Baby The Knife is a game about a 6 year old girl, who has lost her parents. The family priest always told her that everything is the will of God, so now she has decided to find him and ask him why they are gone.

Baby The Knife:

This blog has been made to raise awareness of the project and hopefully make people interested in the project. Hopefully this will make it easier for us to find the necessary funding for the company/game.

The plan is to release the game for online distribution on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC in the first quarter of 2013.

We're currently in the pre-production phase of the game and are working concurrently with the development of the concept, looking for funding and creating the company behind the game. We're currently working two people on the project: me (gamedesigner/writer/creative director Anders Højsted) and Art Director/Concept Artist Rositsa Dineva.

The development right now is focused on making the right concept-art for the the main character Baby. Baby is the most important person and icon for the game and we have to be absolutely sure that we have gotten her appearance absolutely perfect before we move on. If she fails as a believable character and as a person that the player can emphatise with, the game fails.

The process is based on iterations. Rositsa makes concept sketches and we then discuss them, take them apart, put the pieces back together and go over them again. We're not quite there yet, but very close.

The top banner on the blog was one of the first pieces that was spot on and we've used it as the foundation for further development. We'll off course post the final pieces when we are done.

Stay "tuned" for further updates :)

Anders
